Trix is profoundly Deaf and has been teaching ASL since 1985. She has a Certificate of Teaching, and a Certificate of Career Development. Using her Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Trix has established her own business, Trix's ASL Workshop, which provides workshops to interpreting students as well as working interpreters. She has taught workshops in Hawaii, Maryland, Washington, New York, Virginia and Washington D.C. in order to benefit the interpreting community.

Trix enjoys teaching working interpreters in order to supplement their educational needs. Understanding the challenges that face working interpreters, she focuses her workshops on trying to meet their needs. Her workshops include: Classifiers, English Equivalents, Handshapes and the Semantics of ASL. For the last 4 years she has taught ASL in a public high school as a foreign language credit.
